Megan Stanley became one of the first four trainers in Canada to earn the Certified Behavior Consultant Canine, Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA). It’s her passion, guidance, and on-going education that keeps dogma at the top of the game, using only humane training practices and the latest scientific knowledge. Megan was nominated for the Alberta Women’s Entrepreneur 2015 Celebration of Achievement Award, and is the Vice Chair for the Board of Directors of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

Hailee is an avid animal lover with a passion for working with dogs. Teaching classes is a complete joy for her. Hailee’s goal as a classroom instructor is to help all her students gain the foundation needed to have a long and happy life with their pets. She shares her home with her wiener dog Turbo and her cat Sheldon. Sheldon is leash trained so he goes out on walks to explore the world with his brother and comes to dogma to help us with training and classes.
Kristina grew up on a farm, spending her days playing with a variety of pets, farm animals and various rescued wildlife but it was a rambunctious puppy,Chica, that lead her to dogma. After taking the class she was hooked. She obtained her DCBCE designation, CPDT-KA, and her CPDT-KSA. She shares her home with her dog Chica and her four cats Mico, Hefner , Lynx and Cheeto.
Arvin has been an animal lover ever since he was a child. He was born in the Philippines and he moved to Canada where he graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences majoring in Animal Health at the University of Alberta and aims to learn more about animal behaviour and how the human-animal bond forms and remains strong. He hopes to be a dog trainer and increase awareness of using positive reinforcement to train dogs.
Stacey is a BC girl who moved to Calgary and worked as a flight attendant for 9 years, but decided to change careers so she could be home, and spend more time with her fur babies (and husband). She has 2 beautiful siamese X cats, and 2 dogs, a Shiba named Kodi, and a Border Collie named Yogi. Aside from working in the Day School, she is also learning to become a dog trainer through the dogma Apprenticeship Program.
Ocean loves working with dogs and when she’s not at work practicing skills, and giving butt scratches, she is usually at the dog park with her 8-year old shepherd mix, Juno or watching Netflix. Ocean loves coming to work in the day school each day and enjoys working on each dog’s skills.
Alex has been around animals since she was born. Her passion for working with animals started when she was dog walking and pet sitting. She then moved onto being a Veterinary Hospital Assistant, where she learned about caring for all sorts of different animals. Alex loves to come home to her beloved Rat- Terrier, Benji. She also has fun taking him on hikes, working on training, and especially enjoys cuddling while watching movies.
Maria has grown up with dogs and other animals her whole life. She was born in Brazil, and moved to Calgary in 2014. She has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Maringa States University, and is a specialist in Animal Nutrition (Pontifical Catholic University of Parana.) She has trained both dogs and horses to be therapy animals and has also trained animals for television programs. Maria loves helping resolve animal behavioural concerns.
Adria was born and raised in Calgary, and has been surrounded by dogs her whole life. Adria graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, majoring in zoology. She has enjoyed working at dogma, she has completed dogma’s Apprenticeship Program and is now working as one of our group class trainers and is a Lead in the day school. She loves coming to day school to cuddle and play with all the furry friends!
Megan has grown up with dogs her whole life, and has loved being around them for as long as she can remember. She has worked in the dog daycare world for over ten years, and still loves it. Her main passion in life is helping dogs, and to further that desire she will continue her education on dogs and their behaviours. Megan has three beautiful rescue dogs, and she is proud to be a member of the dogma team.
Kelsey is one of those rare people who was born and raised in Calgary. Growing up her first furry friend was a bunny, and she now she lives with her three mini mixed pups, Shillelagh, Tilley and Bella. Her career originally took her in the direction of nursing, but she always had a sweet spot for animals, and finding dogma turned everything around. She started by bringing Shillelagh to puppy training, and her passion for pups led her to her position as dogma’s Training Administrative Assistant.
Haley knew when she went out into the workforce that she wanted something a little different from the typical office atmosphere. Since she’s always been an animal lover, she was thrilled with the opportunity to work at dogma. She truly enjoys getting to see the clients and dogs each day, and who doesn’t love getting some puppy cuddles?! She’s happy to share her home with her boyfriend, her Samoyed ‘Ghost’, and her English Bulldog ‘Tank’.
Jodi enrolled in the Dogma Apprenticeship program, and hasn’t looked back. Her philosophy – to provide love and kindness to all critters – has played a huge role in shaping who she is today. Jodi has completed her her DCBC designation, the Certified Trick Dog Instructor course (Do More With Your Dog) and the Walks N Wags pet first aid. Her long term goals are to continue her learning, and further her certifications, while advocating for reward based humane training methods.
Lynn came to dog training after adopting her first rescue dog Cody, who was extremely reactive. In order to better help him, she completed a two year program in Ottawa at a dog training school. She is passionate about training and hopes to eventually get her CPDT-KA. She loves practicing agility with Cody (although they don’t compete due to his fears around crowds), and scent training with her other dog Buffy. Lynn is a lover of the outdoors and passionate about including dogs in her pursuits.
Kris completed dogma’s Dog Trainer Apprenticeship Program, and was one of our first students to fast-track the program and graduate with honours! He credits many positive changes in his life to his two pitbulls, Duke and Mya, which includes marrying dogma’s owner, Megan. They are both great advocates for the bully breed, and use Duke to help many fearful/reactive dogs overcome their challenges. Kris works primarily in our Reactive urbanK9 classes and quickly becomes each dog’s favourite person.
As a child, Teresa was constantly trying to add to her already full household with a “lost” dog, or a kitten who just happened to “follow” her home — Her mom had her work cut out for her! Not surprisingly, she started her own family that includes two dogs, Tria & Tydus, a bird named Buttons, her dog Dixon, and her cat Sheldon. Obtaining her DCBC is just the start for Teresa. She plans to continue her education in canine behavior because she loves working with dogs and their owners, strengthening their relationship and understanding of one another.
Ashley grew up just south of Okotoks on an acreage, and has always had a passion for animals. When she entered into the Primate Behaviour program at the U of C, she knew a career with animals was her calling. She is has also completed the Apprenticeship Program and is now working as a trainer.
Shelley has had a huge passion for animals since she can remember. After graduating from college and starting her own business in equine therapy, She realized she had strayed away from her primary passion- working with dogs. She successfully completed the dogma Apprenticeship Program and her long term goals are to achieve her CPDT-KA designation. Shelley is particularly interested in working with reactive dogs and further understanding canine behaviour through continuing education.

Melinda grew up on a farm with many animals, including dogs, horses, cats, bunnies, birds and even a pet skunk! She brought her dog, Ben, to dogma for training because she fell in love with dogma’s philosophies, and became there she enamoured with it all. She obtained her DCBC designation and plans to achieve her CPDT-KA designation. She is excited to help dogs and dog owners grow their relationships into a very special bond.
Deanne grew up on Vancouver Island in BC, and moved to Calgary with her partner Evan in 2016. She was raised with a love and curiosity about all animals, but has always felt a special bond with dogs. She worked in many different industries in Victoria, and has always wanted to work with animals. When she moved to Calgary, she started working as a dog walker, and loved every minute of it. She wanted to continue learning about dogs and dog behaviour, and hopes to one day become a trainer. She is very proud to have joined the team at dogma and started her career working to improve the lives of dogs.
