Dog to Dog Aggression/Reactivity Concerns

dogma is Calgary's best resource to help you work through any of your dog's concerns with other dogs. We have lived with reactive dogs and have been teaching classes and working with clients privately to resolve reactivity concerns for over 5 years. No other training school in Calgary can provide you with such a thorough program to fully address and resolve your dog's reactivity concerns!

Our program provides many options to help your dog through their fear/aggression towards other dogs. dogma has a facility which allows us to offer far more than just a classroom option. We offer our foundation class, an agility and outdoor class, private training, dog-dog assessments as well as Q&A nights with one of our certified trainers to answer any questions you may have on fear, reactivity or aggression!

We have the knowledge and experience to help dogs through their concerns through our classes, but we also provide dog-dog assessments and programs to get your dog playing and back interacting with their canine companions! Find out more about these assessments on our private training page.

Resolving Reactivity:
Does your dog bark ferociously on leash at other dogs or people? Do you find their behaviour embarrassing and hard to handle? Do you barely walk them or take them out at quiet times to avoid running into other dogs or people? If this describes your challenges and frustrations, than this is the class for you. Over eight weeks, we will teach you how to properly handle your dog while on leash, teach them to be calm and settled around other dogs/people and get you working as a team again! The class uses positive methods and focuses on teaching appropriate behaviour. You will also learn how to understand canine communication and learning, and build a stronger relationship with your dog.

Registration in this class entitles you to free attendance at our Q&A - Fear, Reactivity and Aggression nights!

Cost: $360 + gst *Fees are non-refundable
Requirements: Up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered.

Resolving Reactivity Outdoors:
This class is for dogs who have completed Resolving Reactivity, or an equivalent class. Held outdoors, in various locations around the city, (indoors and around dogma through the winter months) we will work on continuing your dog's progress. The foundation has been laid and now it is time to get these dogs integrated back into the 'real world'. The class is held over five weeks.

Cost: $265 + gst *Fees are non-refundable
Requirements: Resolving Reactivity, Up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered. If you have completed a dog-dog class with another school, please contact us at 403.452.5400 to discuss.

Resolving Reactivity Agility:
This class is for dogs who have completed Resolving Reactivity, an equivalent class or have challenges in a regular Agility class environment. Using agility equipment, we will work on continuing your dog's progress. The foundation has been laid and now it is time to get these dogs integrated into more stimulating environments, all while building confidence. The class is held over six weeks.

Cost: $265 + gst *Fees are non-refundable

Q&A - Fear, Reactivity and Aggression:
This hour is included in registration of any of the above classes and allows you a full hour to ask one of our certified trainers any of your questions on fear, reactivity or aggression concerns. If you are not registered in any of the above classes or do not hold a membership with dogma, you can still attend by paying a drop-in fee of $15 + gst.

This Q&A Session is held every third Tuesday of the month.
